Stage One - Audition for Summer Session Individuals interested in joining the RWB School, Professional Division must audition for acceptance into Summer Session first. There are two ways to audition for Summer Session. The first and most preferred method of audition is in person. Each year, RWB School holds auditions across Canada and in select cities in the United States. Students are encouraged to pre-register by phone at (204) 957-3452 or by downloading the registration form and faxing it to (204) 943-1994. Although walk-ins are welcome at the auditions, candidates are encouraged to pre-register for audition classes. Students may also audition by submitting a 5 to 10 minute video demonstrating barre and centre work. Senior students, those 16 years and older may include pointe work and/or a variation. Students auditioning by video must include a picture of themselves facing front, showing a tendu in 2nd position with arms in 2nd position. A letter of recommendation, a list of dance training and a completed registration form should also be included. Stage Two – Summer Session During the audition, students are evaluated on their talent and aptitude for classical dance, as assessed by the RWB School artistic staff.
