Code of Conduct & Etiquette Policy

School Conduct

Students are expected to maintain courteous manner at all times and to comply with the rules of the school. Failure to do so may result in a student being placed on probation or dismissed from the school. In the case of dismissal as a result of behavior tuition fees will not be refunded. The RWB School deems the following behaviors as unacceptable within the RWB building and when representing the RWB School outside of the RWB building.

• Illegal use of alcohol
• Illegal use of drugs
• Theft
• Violence
• Bullying
• Criminal Acts / Activity
• Smoking in the residence or ballet building
• The use of foul or offensive language
• Vandalism, abuse of facilities or tampering with building equipment
• Conduct that interferes with other people’s use and enjoyment of the facilities

Classroom Conduct

Students are expected to display a professional attitude in and out of their classes and towards their teachers, staff members and other students. Students must:

• Arrive on time for all classes
• Notify teacher prior to the beginning of class of any injury that prevents full participation
• Notify teacher, prior to the beginning of class of any need to leave class early
• Restrict use of excessive additional outer garments (e.g. leg warmers)
• Be excused personally by the teacher before exiting the classroom
