David Moroni, Founding Director of the RWB School Professional Division is committed to the very highest standards of dance education. Upon his retirement this Fund was created in his name to ensure the health and stability of the School into the next century. Nurturing each student’s unique abilities and talent requires the commitment of a dedicated faculty providing instruction in a wide range of dance styles as well as supplementary coursework in areas such as choreography, art, music, nutrition and performance enhancement classes. Ensuring students receive a strong academic curriculum completes the picture so that RWB School Professional Division graduates enter their career as well-rounded, versatile dancers and dance teachers. Donations to the David Moroni School Endowment Fund help to ensure the RWB School Professional Division is able to maintain its commitment to the recruitment and retention of highly skilled faculty and staff and engaging guest teachers and choreographers from around the world while also supporting the ongoing development of programs designed to cultivate the creative spirit in young artists. Gifts of Securities/Stocks While gifts of cash are the most common way to give, a donation of securities could offer greater tax advantages. Under the recent Canadian taxation rules, donors are no longer taxed on capital gains accrued on securities such as public company shares, bonds, mutual fund units and employee stock options, when donated to a registered charity such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. EnPirouette Monthly Donor Club You may also choose to join the EnPirouette Monthly Donor Club by giving as little as $13 a month to the RWB School. A monthly gift is a simple and convenient way to contribute to the School. EnPirouette members receive exclusive benefits including an invitation to a RWB Closed Company Rehearsal followed by a Coffee & Cookies Meet & Greet with Vanessa Lawson, Principal Dancer for the RWB and Honorary Chair for Friends of the RWB School. Members also receive invitations to rehearsals for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Prairie Theatre Exchange and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Winnipeg, as well as the regular Friends of the School benefits based on total yearly donation.
